Our story

Colombian flavor, straight from home

When we moved to the United States from Colombia, the first memories that came to mind were the afternoons and nights out with family and friends eating Colombian fast food. We loved cozy places with great service and a menu full of delicious options.

Over time we missed that more and more, so our entrepreneurial spirit kicked in and we started working on our dream: a place to share with people here a little of what we lived back home. On May 28, 2019, we opened Del Sobrino, a place to enjoy with family and friends and have a good time, as we say in Colombia.

We haven't stopped growing since. We moved to a bigger space to serve you better, and our menu now has more than 50 dishes named after grandma, the nephew, the aunts, the boyfriend and even the mother-in-law!

What are your hours?

Mon–Thu 12 PM – 11 PM · Fri–Sat 12 PM – 1 AM · Sun 12 PM – 11 PM. Lunch specials (lunch bowls and lunch patacones) are available 12 PM – 5 PM.

What is a Colombian hot dog?

It's a fully loaded hot dog: a sausage on a soft bun with crushed potato chips, melted cheese, house sauces like pineapple, pink and cilantro, and toppings such as bacon, quail eggs, sweet plantain or pork belly. Our classic is the Del Sobrino Hot Dog.

Do you have vegetarian options?

Yes. The De la Prima Veggie burger has a 100% plant-based patty, tofu and avocado in a spinach tortilla. We also have fried yuca and mini cheese tequeños.

What is the lunch special?

From 12 PM – 5 PM we serve lunch bowls (Antioqueño, Llanero, Caribeño, Valluno, Cachaco, Ranchero and Andino) and lunch patacones. Buy a bowl and your soda is free.

Do you cater parties?

Yes. We have party trays to go: Party Box, 50 mini empanadas, 30 mini tequeños, 50 yuca bites, 50 aborrajados, mini burgers, mini hot dogs and maicitos for 10. See catering.

Is it family friendly?

Absolutely! It's a casual, cozy spot with tic-tac-toe tables to play while you wait. Our dishes are named after the family: grandma, the uncle, the cousin, the compadre and even the mother-in-law.
